We have been made aware that our 3D Print Request form is not functioning. We've reported the problem and the web team is working on it. We hope to get it sorted as soon as possible.
Sorry for the inconvenience! ~ Kelly, Library Media Specialist It's that time of year again. Crunch time. Everyone's frantically finishing up last-minute assignments and projects.
This is no different for anyone requesting 3D print jobs for their courses. At this point, we cannot guarantee that anything submitted from today (Nov 29) onward will get printed in time for class deadlines/end of term. Please keep in mind:
We're sorry that we will not be able to print everyone's requested print jobs, nor necessarily on time, but we will do our best to accommodate as many of them as possible. If you're really stuck, we would suggest going to a paid service such as McMaster 3D Printing. ~ Kelly, Library Media Specialist The Lyons New Media Centre staff team thank you all for your patience! We have not only managed to catch up on all of the course-related requests for this term, but also the regular requests! It was a busy term, but we got through it. :)
FYI: We are now officially printing newly submitted requests. ~ Kelly, Library Media Specialist This has been posted to advise everyone that due to a large 3D print queue for course related work, that anything submitted after last Thursday has no guarantee of being completed before the end of classes this week.
We apologize for the inconvenience. ~ Kelly, Library Media Specialist Requests for 3D printed items that are not course-related will not be printed at this time.
We have had an unusual amount of course-related print requests submitted this term, and need to prioritize these between now and the end of April. Once we have finished printing all course-related materials, we will resume regular requests that have already been submitted up to this point. All NEW submissions for items not related to courses will not be printed until the Summer months. Some of the already-submitted items may also end up being printed in the Summer, depending on course-related demand in the coming weeks. |
