The Edward & Margaret Lyons Instructional Media Centre was formed in 2002 thanks to a donation from Edward and Margaret Lyons, both graduates of McMaster University. The Centre was an amalgamation of the McMaster University Video Library and the School of the Arts Slide Library, becoming home to a large collection of audio visual and electronic materials.
The Lyons New Media Centre is a natural expansion of what was once the Lyons Instructional Media Centre, which served the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The Centre is a media space for the innovative creation and use of new and traditional media in teaching, learning and research at McMaster. It now serves all students, staff and faculty at McMaster University.
